Facilitators Wanted!

Overhear is hiring facilitators to help shape a new audio trail at Midland Metropolitan Hospital as part of The People’s Gallery: A Hundred and 10 years of Healthcare, Hospitals, Heritage and Healing.

Dates: June 2025-June 2026, twice a month (TBC)

Fee: £200/day

Are you experienced in running workshops? Interested in creative storytelling? Up for a good natter?

We're looking for people to lead a series of oral history sessions and creative writing workshops over the course of the next year, dates to be confirmed. Our plan is to recruit several facilitators and schedule workshops among them depending on availability.

You'll be working with patients and staff at Midland Metropolitan Hospital as well as local residents to collect memories and stories around the history of City Road Hospital and healthcare in the locality.

We'll provide you with any necessary training specific to dealing sensitively with people's stories and recording content to be uploaded onto the Overhear app. You'll also be supported by the Overhear team in the planning and delivering of the sessions.
