So as I put in the most recent blog post I've been unsure of how to build a community around Overhear its not one of my strengths. I really value genuine and authentic interaction so I think summoning the energy to do that has been part of the challenge, twitter drains me a bit due to its politics or feeling you're shouting into a big black hole... but its mainly how to come across as authentic that bothers me most
So with that said I'm going to roll up my sleeves and do some digging around to get something authentic growing here on this forum.
It'll probably be useful to start with a community mission statement. Something that shows "how the crowd can play a role in making your vision real…" according to Jono Bacon's "People Powered"

So, so far I've got this:
To create a global community of poets and writers passionate about local space, location and place.
Please contribute to this to help shape it and make it something real!
